Thanks guys! Especially to DanCan. He really had his hands full during the Draft. Good job! Man, my new team is really a Shooting Star.

Sammy, Thanks so much for picking for me. I am sorry I did not do a very good job for you. I am glad you were able to rectify some of my bad picks..LOL

No problem Bling, they were good picks and probably better then my choices, but I had to go with Dvorak, an Oiler and really starting to roll right now after a slow start and Comrie, because he is finally on a team he can do some damage with (even if I personnally can't stand him)

Yes, they are great picks, Sammy. Elias and Briere are both excellent players and scorers.
I do wish poor Patrick Elias could get on a team where he can score more.
I like Briere a lot more since he is in Buffalo now. I did not like him with The Coyotes.

Good job, everybody! I will fix the stats on the website tomorrow. We are using another system now (counting the points from now on) so I'll have to change the table layouts.

DanCan: Whoops... I just realized that I picked Vasicek instead of Marrella's choice of Brendl. I don't recall anybody else picking Brendl. Could we changed that pick to Brendl, eh?

OK, I have substituted Brendl for Vasicek

DanCan, wasn't it counting the points up to game#41 for the first half and from game#42 on for the second half? Did we change the rules?

@ Gereagle: Sorry, I was unaware of that rule. I don't have the points for all NHL players at 41 games. But I have now spend 6 hours recalculating the points for all 120 players involved in the post-midterm draft and the 120 players involved in the pre-midterm draft. In fact, I have gone through every single game report since 3 January to make the recalculations. A very time consuming affair indeed ! The results of these re-calculations reveal that there will be very few changes: Most of us gain around 5 points each: AAA: 6 points to 285 Bling: 5 points to 259 Dan-Can: 5 points to 367 Marrella: 5 points to 315 Mike: 5 points to 314 Midnight Raven: 4 points to 320 Jd and Sammy gains +13 (to 298) and +11 respectively (to 257) because their pre-midterm teams had a lot of injuries. Wide Asleep is the big winner with +11 points (to 341). Gereagle gains +8 (to 293). Ray and Pihinalle lose two points each (to 286 and 291 respectively) mainly because their teams did very well last week. I am willing to implement these adjustments. But note that this will create problems at the injury draft at 60 games. Since I do not have the points for every NHL player at the mid-season - and I'm not going to do the insurmountable job of recalculating the points for every NHL player - when it comes to players added, we will have to calculate the points from the score sheet I attached in the other thread. If you can find a link to player stats at 41 games, please let me know. I'm quite sure that the stats doesn't exist on the net. I will now implement the scoring adjustments on the web site, but I am not going to change the monthly and weekly stats since these stats are less important. This means that Ray is still leading the scoring this months, while Wide Asleep and Ray will still be declared winners for the past two weeks since 4 January. OK?

Hehehe DanCan, it's not so easy to get the game#41 points. AAA and me also had some trouble with it. I would say now it's too late anyways. I think we should go with your way of counting for this year. AAA and me were using www.sportsinteractive.com the only side we know (since Yahoo canceled this service) from which you can download the stats directly into the excel sheet. This is the best way I know to get our stats. To get the #41 points, on which all depends on, we copied the stats of each player of this team into our sheets always when a team reached 41 games and saved them separately. There is sure another way, but then you have to look up the points of every single player (before and after) the Draft manually. Again, we should stick to your way of counting this year. It's the best service we got ever anyways. Thanks!

I think we should stick to the new calculations I have made (the stats at 41 games). Tonight, I have surfed around on the net looking for stats. I'm pretty sure that the stats we are looking for - the mid-season stats of all NHL-players - is not available. The best site I have found - in terms of handiness - is this one: www.forecaster.ca/tsn/hockey/playerindex.cgiIt provides a quick lookup of the game-by-game stats player for player. Now, the procedure will be this: Prior to the 2nd injury draft (22 February? - see other thread), I will post the scoring list of the top 250 players. However, I will NOT calculate the total scores of each of those 250 players since the mid-season (41 games). If you want substitute any of your players at the injury draft and you want to find out how many points a player you want to add have scored since mid-season, you have to do the calculations yourself. Please do this BEFORE the injury draft - not AT the injury draft. It took 1 hour to get the midseason draft started because some of you were unsure about what players to pick. We don't want that to happen again, do we? Good luck!
