Finland Elysée Arena -- Turku, Finland Wow!!! You too, Brims And you never told me When was that? Can´t be too long ago if the name of the arena was already Elysée...it used to be called Typhoon originally.

Really?! Which match/-es did you see? How did you like it over here? Was out there for a week on business, and managed to grab a game between Jokerit and Ässät Pori. Wasn't the best game I've seen, as it should have been one-sided based on that seasons performances, but Jokerit were fairly quiet. Still, significantly better than the stuff we get fed in the UK, though... The arena is nice, although I was very unimpressed they wouldn't let me take my beer to my seat! Graham.

Yes, that´s too bad you´re only allowed to have your beer with you to the lower part of the auditorium, and the tickets to that section are much more expensive... Jokerit are known to play a little lazy sometimes

>> NyQuil: You played for the HSV? Great. So you have seen the most exciting places in Germany. Neuss, Bremerhaven, Berlin....that´s cult! My respect! Heh, most of the time we played on the outdoor ice at Stellingen (this was a ways back), which was amusing if it was raining. One funny anecdote was the fact that my brother and I wore neck guards and Cooper Alls (long pants with pads underneath, which were all the rage in the 80's). Every team we played against wanted to know about our neck guards (which were mandatory in Canada), and the next time we played them, they had neck guards too. The other funny thing was the fact that we had to try to explain to the referee for every game what Cooper Alls were, because they assumed we were just wearing pants with no padding underneath. Needless to say, a couple weeks of that, and we switched to shorts and socks.

Actually I assumed it was always the name. It was quite some time ago -- back in the mid 80's. So my mistake. I saw TPS play at home, but assumed the arena was named the same. Sorry.
