What a kick by Zidane ( I do not mean the penalty kick) and what a comeback by the French.

It reminded me the Champions´league final in 1999 Bayern vs. Manchester. Football is really the most beautiful sport in the world. Sorry, for everybody of you it is ice hockey, but my sport number 1 is also football. I´d say it is fifty fifty with ice hockey. Let´s go Czech Republic, let´s go!!! Any other football fans here?

I'm mad about football too! Let's go Portugal, Italy and Latvia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the players are too tired, the season is too long with too many matches. This tournament will be a bad one.

Football is WAY too boring compared to hockey IMO, but I know I´m gonna get hooked like every year before. I hope Portugal cheers up a bit, forgets the home-crowd-pressure and playes better, I´m rooting for them! Though I was on England´s side, I have to give some credit to France for taking sucha nice victory... Zidane is really good. *thumbs up*

Congrats, Body-czech! We almost upset you. Any comments about the game? I'm a football fan and player, too. Football was not very popular in Latvia since recent times. I still hope that Latvia will still steal at least a point in Euro2004. Da Crazy Latvian.

Hi Scratch! Thanks, it was a very hard game. I must say I didn´t expect it. I didnt think either that it will be an easy game 4-0 or something. I would be naive. The Latvians played very well, concentrated and very disciplined. The game sometimes resembled a handball game, but what other thing they should have played? This was a good strategy from the coach. It was very difficult to penetrate the wall of the latvian bodies, and when we found a small space for a shot, the shot was blocked. The game costed us a lot of energy. I hope we´ll do well against Holland, and then against Germany. I wish Latvia tore some point from Holland or Germany - it is not impossible, if they will play so concentrated and disciplined football. Heil football, the beautiful game.

"Zidane is God!" exclaimed a soccer fan. "He may be, but do you know who's Satan?" replied a hockey fan.
