I thought it might be interesting to know what the users are reading right now.
Except reading the package of cornflakes this morning I'm reading Michael Moore's - Dude, where's my country.

Not reading a book at the moment, as I just finished one, and have to pick up another this weekend.
Books I've read recently: (apologies if I spell authors' names wrong)
Tommy's Tale By Alan Cumming Hey, Nostradamus! by Douglas Coupland Life of Pi by Yann Martel Nineteen Eighty-Four and Animal Farm by George Orwell The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman
There were probably others that I've forgotten (I've read a lot of books since moving to London).
Any suggestions on what to read next? I'm thinking of either more Douglas Coupland (Hey, Nostradamus! was the first of his books I've read, and I liked it) or maybe A Short History of Nearly Everything [ABRIDGED] by Bill Bryson.

I'd much sooner read then watch tv. Right now I am rereading George R.R. Martins, A game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings and A Storm of Swords. Just waiting for the 4 th book to come out. Excellent fantasy series. I have been thinking of rereading the Tolkien Trilogy again, but haven't seen the 3rd movie yet. I have the whole series (including the Silmarillion) in hard cover bought back in the mid 70's.

I like Grisham too. The Rainmaker for example. I liked the book but the film was lousy in my eyes. <<The Partner>> was the one I liked most.

Well, I bought four new books over the weekend, instead of just one. I got: Join Me by Danny Wallace (reading this first---pretty funny so far) The da Vinci Code by Dan Brown (haven't read anything by him yet, but looks interesting......plus I was just at the Louvre a couple of weeks ago ) A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson (as predicted) Postmortem by Patricia Cornwell (haven't read any of her stuff either, but I'm a big fan of CSI and anything to do with forensics---my dream job )

Reading Brown's Angels and Demons now. Don't know about The Da Vinci Code yet, how it's going to be, but if it's anything like this one, it's a must read.
BTW, on what language you prefer your books? With me, well, of course Finnish, but if it's written in English and not translated yet but I want to read it, I'm surely getting a copy in the original language.
