Hi Guys. I didn't quite follow your emails above. Would you like me to scan the box-scores from the 76 book, or do you have that info already?

Thanks.
Do you have any Czech lineups ? Do the Finnish, American and Swedish lineups differ during the other games ? Do the Canadian lineup change throughout the tournament ?

Yes, the lineups during the 1976 Canada Cup differ for each team for each game due to injuries, coaches decisions and only being allowed to dress 18 skaters and 2 goalies from a roster of 25, meaning 4 extra skaters and the third goalie had to sit out each game.
The CZE team switched up line combinations frequently throughout the tournament. The primary lines were as follows:
RW Martinec/C Jiri Novak/LW Bohuslav Stastny RW Ebermann/C Hlinka/LW Holik RW Cernik/C Novy/LW Augusta RW Marian Stastny/C Peter Stastny/LW Pouzar
Defense pairings:
Machac/Pospisil Bubla/Kajkl Chalupa/Dvorak Kaberle/Dvorak
Team Canada coach Scotty Bowman also mixed up his line combinations but primarily went with the following lines:
RW Dionne/C Esposito/LW Hull RW Leach/ C Clarke/LW Barber RW Lafleur/C Perreault/LW Martin RW Sittler/C P. Mahovlich/LW Shutt RW McDonald/C Sittler/LW Gainey (used as a checking line)
Defense pairings:
Orr/Potvin Savard/Robinson Watson/Lapointe
And the USA team mixed up line combos each game as well but usually went with the following lines:
RW Ahern/C Curt Bennett/LW Polich RW Talafous/C Ftorek/LW Hangsleben RW Patrick/C H.Bennett/LW Williams RW Bolduc/C Palazzari/LW Jensen
Defense pairings: (also changed from game to game)
Nyrop/Nanne Milbury/Chartraw Fogolin/Sargent Christie
The Soviet Union changed line combinations every game, utilizing players at different wing positions and at centre. Finland also switched up line combos each game bringing in various players to play on different lines.

I have the Soviet lines for each game, as well as Canadian lines for the final.
Do you have details of changes made by Czechoslovakia and USA through the tournament ?
Do you have the name of the referees ?

USA - FIN:
You are correct, Saari played on defence w/Nummelin ( and not Litma). My mistake, I was looking at wrong lineup sheet.
Regarding linesmen, only the referees name appears on the game sheets. I am only familiar with 3 linesmen who officiated the 1976 CC tournament and they were Bob Luther (USA), Gordon Broseker (USA), and Karl-Gustav Kaisla (FIN).

Thanks. Do you have Finnish lines against Canada ? I'm sorry this smiley ( ) appeared in the middle of my message. I just wanted to type three question marks, and I didn't know it had this effect. CZE - FIN: Martinec and B. Stastny played on a line w/Novak No, and that's my problem ! Jiri Novakl didn't play that game. I have the list of players who actually played, not of the players who were dressed, and that's why I told Czechoslovakia had 16 skaters against Soviet Union for example (Ebermann and the seventh defenceman - Kaberle I presume - didn't play)
