Here are some stats that might guide you.
CURRENT TOP 10 - Projected points 2003/4:
1. Peter Forsberg (COL).........124 2. Zigmund Palffy (LOS)........111 3. Robert Lang (WAS)...........108 4. Alex Tanguay (COL)..........105 5. Marian Hossa (OTT)...........102 6. Pavol Demitra (STL)............99 7. Markus Näslund (VAN)........96 -. Ilya Kovalchuk (ATL)...........96 9. Joe Thornton (BOS)............90 -. Daniel Alfredsson (OTT).......90 10. Todd Bertuzzi (VAN).........89
*) Note: the projections changes from day to day. Currently Peter Forsberg and Zigmund Palffy -- top 2 -- are injured. Every time Colorado and Los Angeles plays, the projected points of these players become smaller. Peter Forsberg has scored 19 points in 11 games - a huge average of 1.73 points per game. Since it is very unlikely that he will be able to maintain that average, we should expect Forsberg's total tally to be less than 124 after the regular season.

It's been a while since this thread's been updated.
Scoring Projections, Top 10, 20 January
Robert Lang (WAS)..............97 Alex Tanguay (COL)..............96 Ilya Kovalchuk (ATL).............93 Markus Näslund (VAN)..........91 Peter Forsberg (COL)............89 Joe Sakic (COL)....................88 Keith Tkachuk (STL).............87 Marian Hossa (OTT)..............87 Daniel Alfredsson (OTT)........80
Still nobody believes that Lang will grab the Hart Trophy?

I now think it will be Naslund. Once Jagr goes the Capitals will be a different team. Atlanta will find scoring harder as the season progresses so I see Tanguay or Sakic as the only threats to Nassy's Title.
