Thanks Gurj for editing, much appreciated. Hope this info is interesting reading for all the hockey folks here. I realize it's mostly fluff stats but I thought it may be fun to look over the past exhibition results of the first World Cup. I am a huge hockey stats collecting fanatic, especially of international hockey. And I enjoy sharing the info with everybody here. If anyone needs more regarding World Cup '96, please give me a shout. I possess thousands of pages of stories, game summaries and stats covering Canada Cups, World Championships and many other tournaments. Thanks and enjoy!

Fri, 16 Aug (Moscow, RUS) RUS goals from: Gonchar, Kovalenko (not Kovalev), Yashin, P. Bure, Fedorov
Sun, 18 Aug (Stockholm, SWE) RUS GK: Khabibulin/Shtalenkov

icing101what about the famous 7-1 between GER and CZE at Aug. 31 1996 in Garmisch/Germany? I think it was a WC game, wasn´t it? But for sure one of the highlights of German hockey ever....
