Vladislav Tretiak, Russian hockey legend and now a member of the Russian "Duma" Parlament will be an assistant coach for team Russia at this summer's World Cup. Interesting fact is that this trio of Bilyaletdinov, Yurzinov and Tretiak was in Nagano in 1998, where Russia had a very good team, losing in the final game to the Czech Republic in a tight game. Yurzinov was the head coach back then and now the head coach is Zinetula Bilyaletdinov.
According to Sport-Express the main concern of the Russian coaching staff is getting visas to the United States for some players. Just recently the order to get a US visa became a harder routine in Russia and the GM of the team is concerned that some players might have difficulties entering the USA. To play at the World Cup a working visa is required and it is harder to obtain than a visitor's visa.
