Just like to know how those over the pond are following the Stanley Cup finals. Is it available live, though I believe the start time to be between 2am to 4am. Are all games shown, in entirety, or just highlights in your particular country, or no one really cares.
Just curious how global the NHL finals are arounf the world.
Cheers.

In Poland we have live coverage at 2am (not for me! ) and two retransmissions. Problem is that this is not in free TV, then not all fans can watch NHL.

In Finland it's live broadcast and 1-2 retransmissions for each game. On satellite/digital channel (around 30-40 euros /monts). Also there you can see NHL regular season, maybe 1-2 matches a week (+Elitserien and football Premier league and Serie-A). Remember watching ´97 or '98 finals and being late from work because of some OT

NHL hockey is avaliable only on Satellite TV. They show you 3-4 games a week, a lot of play-off games and all matches of the Final. The game starts from 2-4 am and they retranslate it 2 times after. But NBA is avaliable almost free, it makes me sick ((((((

Forgot to ask; are telecasts in your native languages, russian, finnish, swedish, czech, slovak or are Canadian telecasts in engilsh used?
I guess its like the saturday sameday day broadcasts we get in Canada of English Premier league football. But those are directly using BBC commentary. Foxsportsworld now uses American commentators.

Of course, the commentators are Russians themselves. Sometimes they can be sent to the N.A. for the NHL final or All-star Game.

There's Russian satellite pay TV coverage in Latvia. I watch playoffs in a sports bar. It's cheaper - approximately 1 beer/ period The hardest thing is to get myself to work afterwards... These finals game times are totally crazy btw

In Britain, the final games are shown live on channel 5 at around 1-1.30am.In my opinion, there are too many interuptions from the 2 guys in the studio, one who knows what he,s talking about and one who THINKS he knows what he,s talking about! I prefer to watch the re-live games on NASN(North American Sports Network) through the satalite channel. The games are covered by C.B.C and at least we can laugh at Don Cherry's jackets ;D between periods.Game 6 is on 5 tonight, which i could video tape and watch later or i can wait till 1pm tomorrow afternoon and watch it on NASN.

In England we get the finals live (games start at 1-2 AM usually). in France too. the live start 10 minutes before the game : we have two (good) commentators , a journalist and an old goalie of team france , but not on a national channel (it's canal+) , but i have the cable television + 1 retransmission in a day after for people who can't see the live... during the season NHL (+ play offs , except stanley cup finals ) , we have 2 games/week , but not live game : we had a game which played 24 hours after in France , we have more basket and of course , soccer : i like this , but much hockey will be better ....and Rolland Garros

Those aren't interruptions. Channel 5 just cuts to them when ABC/ESPN goes to commercial break.
