Finnish millionaire Jussi Salonoja got the biggest fine in the world for speeding. I don't have any facts how fast he drove. In Finland your fine is determined by your income. Salonoja has to pay 170 000 €. Nice

Recently Vancouver's police have started using unmarked patrol cars to enforce traffic laws. They're using little Toyotas (like Corollas or Echos, I think) and had good success in surprising and ticketing unsuspecting bad drivers.

Now that's a wonderful idea ... fining based on income! Punish where it hurts ... in the pocketbook!
