Rangers didn't re-sign him (for $10.25 Million, who would?).
But which team(s) do you think will be after him?
God, I hope the Leafs aren't.

with the Ranger's not qualifying him, that makes him a UFA (unrestricted Free Agent). meaning teams can sigh him to whatever they want.... (just hope his partents don't get involved as always.....)

Apparently, his dad's already involved.
I heard he said something about the Rangers being like a bantam team with a father coaching, or something like that. Might have been part of the reason they let him go.

I don't want him! The Ottawa Senators have enough of the overpaid underachievers! We don't need any more! And besides Lindros' salary is too rich for Ottawa!

Just my thoughts. He has had at least eight concussions. Maybe more. I'm not sure.

Alfredsson is overpaid & he hasn't achieved anything. He's paid $5 million a season & I don't think he's worth it! It's enough he's the captain, no wonder Ottawa goes nowhere in the playoffs! Useless captain, useless hockey team! Bonk was another overpaid underachiever but thankfully they traded that useless tool! Now if we can only get a goalie that can stop a puck!

I disagree completely with regard to Alfredsson. He was the club's top scorer this year (82 points), and never ever takes a shift off. He is a tireless worker who attempts to lead by example. His main problem is that the guys he usually plays with, are simply not up to the skill level that he is, forcing him to do a lot of the work himself. Todd White and Peter Schaefer, or even Bryan Smolinski should not be playing on the top line. Daniel should be playing with a very big, very talented centre and a good grinding LW. Anyone surprised when he dominated with Sundin and Roberts at the all-star game? Guys who underachieved in my opinion, particularly in the playoffs, include Bonk, Redden, Lalime, Havlat, Bondra, White. Guys who stepped it up, included Fisher, Chara, Varada.

Silly me I thought Hossa was our top scorer! Wait a minute, I think Hossa scored more goals than Alfie this past season, not more points.
Well then it's up to Muckler to get Alfie some help.
Fisher really stepped up during the playoffs considering he spent most of the season on the injury list.
Bonk, Redden Lalime, Havlat, Bondra, White sleptwalked through the playoffs. Spezza was mediorce, with the extra playing time he will get under the new coach hopefully he can improve his skills.
Chara played well enough he should get a nice raise for himself.

I heard on comcast sports net that he might go on the Flyers this season That would be a big surprise given the way Bob Clarke and the entire Lindros family (mom & dad included) didn't then, and still don't get along.....
