Heatley's indictment on hold

According to a report in the Atlanta Journal Constitution that Fulton-County District Attorney's office has told the Snyder family that it will seek an indictment against Dany Heatley.
Details of the indictment are not known, but the most serious charge Heatley could face - felony vehicular homicide - carries a maximum sentence up to 15 years in prison.
The grand jury did not consider Heatley's case Friday, said Lyn Vaughn, spokeswoman for the district attorney's office.
``We knew the DA would make a decision,'' lawyer Don Samuel said Thursday night. ``It hardly comes as a surprise.''
The charges stem from a September 29, 2003 accident that claimed the life of Atlanta Thrashers teammate Dan Snyder. Snyder was riding in Heatley's Ferrari when it spun out of control on a narrow road in Atlanta and slammed into a wall. Snyder died six days later.
Test results showed Heatley consumed a small amount of alcohol before the crash. His blood alcohol content was less than 0.015, far below the state's legal limit of 0.08.
Heatley broke his jaw and tore two ligaments in his knee in the crash.
