You got it Gurj. But in Danish, its 'tak', more closely related to 'thanks'.

Tusend tak. It's also not Danish, but Norwegian, all I remember from my years working with Telenor.

And its Danish as well, Wide Asleep. Danish and Norwegian are very much related. For more than 400 years (until 1814), Denmark and Norway was one country, and that's made an impact on our languages.

Sorry I missed it. Was all over the IHWC site and didn't know that this board existed. Was fun to read peoples' reactions to the tourney, though. Hope y'all stay around in the summer. I plan to be on here a good bit. I thought I was the only one who loved international hockey. Now I see that there are many others.

The only thing I remember from living with a danish flatmate was what she was saying when she was hanging up after speaking to her mother: "Hi hi" (sorry for the spelling) which means "bye bye" if I'm correct...

That is correct. But I think the actual spelling of "bye" is "hej". I'm sure DanCan will correct me if I'm wrong.
