The Ottawa crowd will be booing Yashin and cheering for Hoss & the Big Z!!!! Go Slovakia Go!!! If anyone doesn't want to fork out the money for the actual game both Team Canada & Slovakia will be holding their training camps in Ottawa. Team Canada will split its training camp between the University of Ottawa & the Corel Centre starting August 19. Team Slovakia will split its training camp between University of Ottawa & the Robert Guertin Arena in Gatineau. No dates were given so I don't know what days the Slovaks will be here. I hope there will be an open to the general public session or some type of meet & greet the players so we can get some autographs! And maybe some photos! Any updates about dates, times, or which arena on which day for the Slovaks? I might be in Ottawa that week, but can't see any of the games . It would be nice to watch practice or do a meet & greet event.

Thanks, Gurj, but I was asking about dates, times, and which arenas for training camp. There are enough (3, I think?) people on this board from the Ottawa area so when all that info gets posted, I am sure someone will post it for you..... I will work on it.

This is all I could find about training camp so far: From the news section of www.wch2004.com, but this was back in May, when the roster was named, so there might be more details released by now.

The Slovakian team is practicing at Robert Guertin arena in Gatineau, just across the river from Ottawa.
