That's what you say. I always thought it would never happen to me - getting the wrong ice cream. Shame on me.

Nope! Nanaimo (it's a Vancouver Island town - for those who don't know BC's geography) is just one ferry ride away so it's "local" enough for me! Anyway, I hear there are similar versions or claims that the "Nanaimo Bar" was invented elsewhere in Canada! Hmmm.... I've never tried it but I know some people poke fun at lutefisk! I hear it's an acquired taste. I guess lutefisk is to the Norwegians as haggish is to the Scottish!

I love the Summer for the frosty and smootie drinks.....
Here's a good frosty recipe if you like that sort of thing, it just makes my mouth water thinking about it.
Frosty Berry Blend ( A Kraft Recipe) 1/4 cup milk 6 Tbsp honey 1 pkg. (250 g) Cream Cheese softened( it calles for Philly cream cheese, but the no name works fine) 2 Cups EACH Frozen raspberries and Blueberries ( I mix up the fruit combo all the time... whatever you have available)
Place Milk, Cream Cheese and Honey in a blender, process on high until blended
Add Fruit, blend until smooth, scraping down the edges of the blender as necessary
Pour into glasses, plastic or paper cups and freeze until ready to serve
Enjoy!!

can't......lactose intolerant Oh Gurj..... I feel for you... I love my dairy, I can't even imagine. But here is a Summer drink I make for my lactose intolerant sister on long hot summer days. Frozen Strawberry Kiwi-Tini ( Also a Kraft recipe... love their website) 1 pouch Strawberry Kiwi Crystal Light Drink Mix 2 cups gingle Ale 1/2 cup vodka 2 1/2 cups crushed ice Strawberry and Kiwi slices to garnish Place gingle ale, vodka, and drink mix in blender. Blend until drink mix is completely dissolved. Add ice, blend on high speed, until smooth. Pour into Martini glasses Garnish with Strawberry and Kiwi slices. Enjoy!

No problem! Funny that you say that. My sister didn't become lactose intolerant until late in her 20's. As kids that is all we drank.

Funny that you say that. My sister didn't become lactose intolerant until late in her 20's. As kids that is all we drank. For the most part it doesn't develop until the early to mid 20s. I started to feel it's effect when I was 25ish Oddly enough, I was talking to my pharmacist, and he tells me that this condition is prevalent in South Asian and East Asian people, but it is virtually non-existant in Europe...go figure..

My last meal would be like a thanksgiving supper but with Steak as the main food.
My favourite beer is kokanee.
I can tell you how to make kraft dinner =)
lastly, I don't like ice cream.

kinda off topic..i had the displeasure of trying donair poutine!!!!!!!! if your not a canuck let me break it down.. poutine is french fries ,cheese curd and gravy...donair is spiced meatloaf [much garlic] spit roasted and sliced very thinly[on pita bread with a sweat sauce].. normally never served together, not by sane people anyway ..so essentially donair poutine is french fries, donair meat, cheese curds and gravy.. might have been ok with lots and lots of ketchup. .ahh Canadian cuisine.. question: what do you call french fries where you live and what do you put on them? here they are french fries and they are best eaten with vinegar and salt!
