Not so fast.....
Lowe wants Comrie to refund $2.5 million as a condition of the trade.
Makes some sense if you consider this: They paid Comrie a $5 million bonus when he signed as an investment, thinking he would be in Edmonton for a long time, and now he is leaving after only 2 1/2 seasons.
Not like it will happen though.

Personnally glad Comrie is on the way out the door. Good move by Lowe to ask for some money back. Not sure if this was ever done in the NHL before, but it should have been.

Comrie goes to Philadelphia. He's been traded for a 2004 first round pick, a 2005 third round pick and minor-league defenceman Jeff Woywitka. I guess, you're happy now Sammy!

You bet ya, Woywitka used to play for the Red Deer Rebels and I've had opprtunity to watch him play and he is good. He's also an Alberta born kid, so ya gotta like that too.

I read a rumour about Olli Jokinen getting traded, but no mention of any teams that would want him.

Jagr a Ranger. I predict he won't play very well without Lang.
Now, if we Canes could just get Lang, I would be happy!
Did not want to give up Markov, but Justin Williams looks good so far.
All of a sudden we have a very young team.

Jagr's first game had a real impact of the Rangers. A 9-1 butt kicking by Ottawa. The Edmonton Oilers are the cause of this. We keep exporting people to the Rangers just to screw them up. A well thought out plan by the Oilers executive.

And then he made three points in his debut at Madison Square Garden!
